About the opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking anAssociate Project Archaeologist for our Salt Lake City, Utah office. The Associate Archaeologist will be a core member of the Cultural Resources Program, responsible for managing small to medium cultural resources projects, assisting senior project managers on larger projects, capturing future work through business development and proposal work, participating in fieldwork, support report writing with research and technical writing, oversee quality assurance/ quality control review, and managing client, agency, and tribal relationships. This role is ideal for an archaeologist who has a strong foundation in cultural resources fieldwork and technical writing and who has already stepped into project management. As an Associate Project Archaeologist, you will play a key role in supporting and managing cultural resources projects across the region while continuing to grow your technical and leadership skills. The candidate should expect to be hands-on from the start of a project in the proposal stage, manage pre-field tasks, participate in fieldwork, and manage or write the report. This is a regular (with benefits) full-time position. Hourly pay will be based on individual qualifications and experience and will range from $29.87/hour to $38.11/hour. It is preferred that the selected applicant reside within the greater Great Basin area.
