Job Title: Aircraft Technical Publications Specialist

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73135

Duration: 7 months assignment with possible extension

Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM (Flexible Schedule- most people on the team 4x10s if they would like)

Pay Rate: $45/hr. on W2 without benefits

Job Description:

  • Interprets and analyzes engineering data, reliability and maintainability data, supply chain data, and customer operations and support concepts to develop support solutions and products including support analysis, provisioning solutions, spares solutions and maintenance, inspection, and support technical data.
  • Provides recommendations on product supportability and establishes operation maintenance tasks and support resources.
  • Develops support systems to achieve supportability requirements.
  • Identifies and analyzes logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and reports.
  • Determines spares provisioning requirements and establishes recommendation for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking.
  • Writes and maintains technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting and maintaining aircraft systems and/or components.
  • Evaluates aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability to establish maintenance concepts.
  • Supports developing, analyzing collecting, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications for evaluation and assists with making recommendations.
  • Supports providing recommendations on product supportability and establishing product supportability operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem.
  • Assists with identifying and analyzing logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and report.
  • Supports determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type.
  • Participates in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/ components.
  • Supports reviewing aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 4 years' experience in United States Air Force heavy aircraft general maintenance and/or United States Air Force structures
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, FrameMaker, Arbortext/Editor
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and parts lists.
  • Good verbal and written communication; ability to work with engineers, subject-matter experts, and illustrators.
  • Time management, ability to meet deadlines, and strong organization skills.
  • Teamwork and ability to follow established processes and checklists.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Jet Engine Experience
  • Hydraulic Technician experience
  • Structural engineering or technical experience
  • Nondestructive (NDE/NDI) inspection background
