Responsibilities & Expectations: The Financial Analyst - Operational Finance partners closely with field operations and regional leadership to analyze financial and operating performance, support forecasting and budgeting, and drive actionable insights that improve margin, productivity, and cash flow. This role emphasizes operational metrics, cost drivers, and performance trends to support daytoday decision making and longterm business goals. * Analyze monthly operating results, including revenue, margin, labor, and overhead variances versus budget and forecast * Partner with operations leaders to understand key performance drivers and translate financial results into actionable insights * Prepare and distribute operational reporting packages for branch, regional, and executive management * Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, with a focus on operational assumptions and cost behavior * Develop and maintain operational KPIs (e.g., utilization, labor efficiency, gross margin, backlog conversion) * Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through adhoc operational and financial analysis * Support integration of acquisitions by analyzing operational performance and aligning reporting to corporate standards * Assist with continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates, and processes to enhance visibility into operational performance * Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate financial data inputs and alignment between operational and financial reporting Qualifications and Competencies: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, operational finance, or a similar role supporting field or plant operations * Experience analyzing P&L performance with an emphasis on cost drivers and operational metrics Other Requirements: * Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and explain results clearly * Ability to work crossfunctionally with operations, accounting, and leadership teams * High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables in a fastpaced environment * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial insights to nonfinance partners Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, logical formulas) * Experience supporting operational or fieldbased organizations * Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting tools You'll thrive at IPS if you... * Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
