Adm. Support DSV - Global transport and logistics Location: USA - Lancaster, Midpoint Dr Division:Solutions POSITION SUMMARY The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)Coordinatorpositionis responsible forengaging a culture of safety throughout our campus by educating and influencing leaders to enhance safety as part of the normal course of business. Provide management support in the planning, development, delivering and evaluation of safety policies,programsand training; promote safety for all employees and compliance with legal regulations and department policies. Ensure compliance with all Federal and State OSHA rules and regulations and provide training,instructionand guidance in these areas. Oversee accident investigations and is also responsible for overseeing all record keeping that is performed after the investigation has concluded. Maintain awareness of current and emerging regulatory requirements and ensure that systems, programs,recordkeepingand reporting procedurescomply withrequirements. Must also have strong organizational and communication skills, and a keen ability to develop and implement processes. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet companyobjectivesin the areas of performance, safety, and quality.Associates are expected tocomply withall corporate and site-specific policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education& Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * One to two years related experience and/or trainingdirectly relatedto the duties and responsibilities specified. * Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans. * Knowledge of OSHA and other federal safety standards, principles,practicesand techniques. SKILLS,KNOWLEDGEAND ABILITIES * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Interpersonal skills necessary toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas. * Working knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email)., Focusing on Details) * Willing to work different shifts as dictated by business needs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Professional accreditation in a safety or environmental field. * Experience effectively leading andfacilitatingteam and cross-functional meetings * Bilingual (English/Spanish) Other Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects,toolsor controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.The employee uses computer and telephone equipment.Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.Must be able tolift upto 40 lbs. while following proper lifting procedures.Must be able to stand onfeetfor up to 8 hours per day. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employeerarely isexposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment isusually lowto moderate.
