Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Lead
Pay Rate: $60-70/hr (DOE)
Location: Holly Springs, NC
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Contract - 12 months (possible extensions based on performance)
Schedule: M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm (Onsite)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead EHS execution within an operating cGMP facility supporting CAPEX projects of varying size and complexity.
* Oversee, coordinate, and advise on all EHS aspects of project execution.
* Chair and participate in EHS coordination meetings.
* Liaise with onsite EHS teams to ensure CAPEX activities align with site safety regulations.
* Coordinate EHS-related activities with project stakeholders across CAPEX functions.
* Conduct safety audits across multiple project locations within the site.
* Draft, review, approve, and implement safety procedures for CAPEX projects.
* Review and approve contractor safety plans, permits, and daily work authorizations.
* Partner with CAPEX project managers to ensure safe execution of all project activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Pharmaceutical project experience (required).
* CAPEX EPCM experience within an operating plant environment.
* Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction standards (29 CFR 1910).
* OSHA 30 certification (minimum requirement).
* Experience overseeing contractor safety and compliance.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to proactively manage responsibilities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
* Experience leading EHS efforts within cGMP-regulated environments.
* Proven ability to coordinate safety across multiple projects and stakeholders.
* Experience conducting safety audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Ability to develop and enforce safety procedures and standards.
* Strong understanding of construction safety practices within CAPEX projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience working on large-scale CAPEX projects in pharmaceutical environments.
* Familiarity with EHS management systems and permit-to-work processes.
* Experience influencing safety culture across project teams.
