Position: Loan Servicing Specialist Duration: Contract for 6 Months (Likelihood to Extend/Convert Permanent) Environment: On-site in Brea, CA Summary The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the accurate boarding, maintenance, and ongoing servicing of commercial loan products. This role ensures loan documentation integrity, compliance with regulatory and bank requirements, and highquality data management across the loan lifecycle. The position requires strong attention to detail, deep understanding of commercial lending processes, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners. * * Responsibilities * Perform new loan boarding, data validation, and system setup for commercial loan products, ensuring accuracy of terms, collateral, and loan documentation. * Process loan modifications, rate and term adjustments, disbursements, advances, and other postorigination servicing actions. * Conduct postorigination quality control reviews, including verification of documentation completeness, collateral perfection, insurance coverage, and disbursement accuracy. * Manage daily servicing activities such as payment processing, loan adjustments, escrow updates, and communication with internal stakeholders. * Ensure servicing activities adhere to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and specific guidelines for SBA, Commercial Real Estate, Business Loans, and Participation/Syndication Loans. * Maintain audit readiness through thorough documentation, accurate recordkeeping, and timely issue resolution. Skills and Qualifications * 8+ years of commercial loan servicing experience with handson knowledge of collateral, loan boarding, and loan modifications. * Ability to review and validate loan documentation including notes, collateral files, insurance, UCCs, escrow items, and flood/hazard compliance. * Experience servicing SBA, CRE, business loans, and participation/syndication structures. * Strong understanding of payment processing, adjustable loan updates, and postorigination quality control workflows. * High attention to detail with proven ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy. * Familiarity with commercial lending systems for loan servicing, workflow, and imaging. * Understanding of credit evaluation concepts, loan agreements, construction budgets, insurance policies, title reports, and covenant/financial reporting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliation, tracking, and reporting. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to partner effectively with Loan Officers, Credit, Operations, and external parties. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Brea, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
