Genesis10 is currently seeking an ETL Database Architect for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The Senior Informatica & Database Developer / Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data integration solutions and database architectures with a strong focus on Oracle databases. This role requires advanced expertise in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter / IICS and deep knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, data modeling, and architecture. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader guiding design decisions, establishing best practices, performing complex development work, and partnering with cross functional teams to deliver scalable, high quality data solutions. Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable ETL workflows, mappings, and sessions in Informatica PowerCenter or IICS Optimize ETL pipelines for performance, reliability, and maintainability Lead the modernization, migration, or refactoring of existing data pipelines Implement best practice patterns for error handling, metadata management, scheduling, and automation Develop complex SQL, PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, triggers, and functions Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and database troubleshooting Design relational and dimensional database models (OLTP + OLAP) Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions Define data integration, data movement, and data architecture standards Implement data validation, cleansing, and profiling strategies Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers Requirements: College graduate in Computer Science or related field 8+ years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud (IICS) 8+ years of hands-on Oracle experience with deep expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, performance tuning, data modeling, and Oracle RDBMS features Strong background in data integration, ETL architecture, and enterprise data engineering Experience with job scheduling tools (Autosys) Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies Desired skills: Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or similar high performance platforms Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, API data ingestion, or real-time data flows Background in data warehousing (Informatica + Oracle or similar stack) Strong communication and technical documentation skills Ability to influence design decisions and advocate for best practices Ability to lead complex technical projects independently Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
