Responsibilities

Global Trust Company (GTC) is a leading provider of collective investment trusts (CITs), managing $160 billion in assets under management and administering $1.4 trillion in assets. As Vice President, National Sales Manager, this role is responsible for leading and executing GTC's distribution strategy across multiple market channels, including financial intermediaries, recordkeepers, aggregators, and institutional consultants. This position will play a key role in expanding GTC's presence in the DCIO (Defined Contribution Investment-Only) space and driving the adoption of both proprietary and non-proprietary CITs, including the GTC Target Date Funds, developed in collaboration with top-tier asset managers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sales & Distribution Leadership
    • Lead and develop the go-to-market distribution strategy for GTC's proprietary and non-proprietary CIT solutions.
    • Oversee DCIO efforts, ensuring targeted engagement with RIAs, wire houses, independent advisors, bank trust officers, insurance platforms, and retirement aggregators.
    • Leverage strategic partnerships with top tier firms.
    • Manage the DCIO team, ensuring efforts align with targeted distribution objectives and assigned relationships.
    • Engage recordkeepers to establish and expand distribution of GTC CITs through platforms such as Fidelity, John Hancock, Empower, Voya, and other leading DC recordkeepers.
  • Marketing & Brand Positioning
    • Collaborate closely with GTC's internal marketing team to develop and execute a cohesive messaging strategy.
    • Drive content creation, thought leadership, and educational campaigns to position GTC as the premier CIT provider for institutional clients and financial intermediaries.
    • Execute a conference & event strategy, maximizing visibility at major industry events such as NAPA, ASPPA, DCIIA, and RPA conferences.
    • Host strategic roadshows and roundtable discussions with key industry stakeholders to drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Relationship Development & Client Engagement
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for major institutional relationships, including asset managers, investment consultants, and financial intermediaries.
    • Establish CIT partnerships with leading firms, ensuring a seamless onboarding and distribution process.
    • Cultivate deep relationships with aggregators, recordkeepers, and wire house teams, providing tailored CIT solutions that align with their investment strategies.
  • Growth & Performance Management
    • Achieve annual revenue and adoption goals, driving increased penetration of GTC's CITs across targeted platforms.
    • Work with investment teams to provide sales insights, product feedback, and strategic input on new CIT launches and alternative investment solutions.
    • Utilize CRM and analytics to track sales activity, client engagement, and market trends, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Sales & Market Expansion:

  • Drive TBD $X million in net new CIT sales across proprietary and non-proprietary funds.
  • Increase advisor adoption of GTC CITs by TBD% year-over-year.
  • Secure three new recordkeeper distribution partnerships within the first 12 months.

Engagement Metrics:

  • Conduct 100+ advisor & consultant meetings annually (virtual & in-person).
  • Execute six national roadshows targeting top-tier financial intermediaries.
  • Maintain a presence at four major industry conferences per year.

Marketing & Brand Visibility:

  • Collaborate on monthly thought leadership content with the internal marketing team.
  • Launch targeted campaigns to drive awareness and increase inbound inquiries by TBD%.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in institutional/retirement sales, distribution, or business development, with deep familiarity in the DCIO ecosystem and collective investment trusts (CITs).
  • 5+ years of demonstrated sales leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Proven success establishing and growing relationships with recordkeepers, intermediaries, consultants, and aggregators; track record of platform placement and measurable growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed revenue or growth targets through disciplined pipeline and relationship management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong consultative selling skills, executive presence, and ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
