Overview
Salary: $50-55 Hourly up to $55
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead the planning, design, and installation of network components including routers, switches, and other critical infrastructure.
* Apply expert knowledge of spanning tree, various routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLAN technologies, and WAN protocols.
* Conduct in-depth network troubleshooting utilizing advanced network protocol analysis tools.
* Leverage extensive experience in the planning, design, installation, and support of LAN technologies (Ethernet, Gig-Ethernet).
* Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protocols such as CONITEL, DNP, Modbus, and 68150.
* Apply robust cybersecurity knowledge to protect critical network infrastructure.
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NERC-CIP during audits, ensuring compliance and operational integrity.
* Facilitate knowledge transfer activities with peers and other support groups to foster a collaborative environment.
* Perform vendor comparisons to select optimal network solutions.
* Maintain and update comprehensive network documentation and drawings.
* Conduct thorough testing for new network hardware and software solutions before deployment.
* Adhere strictly to Change Management processes for all network-related incidents.
* Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance network operations and efficiency.
* Contribute as a key technical team member on large-scale networking projects, particularly within operational technology environments.
* Provide comprehensive support, testing, and troubleshooting for all business applications relying on network infrastructure.
* Utilize intelligent network management tools to proactively isolate problems and continuously improve network performance. **Must-Have Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
* 5-7 years of progressive experience in network/systems administration or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in routing firewalls and switches within an Operational Technology (OT) regulated environment.
* Required NERC CIP training.
* Solid knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage.
* Proficiency with various computer software, including configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software, and internet directory services software. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications**
