TITLE: Gift Planning Marketing & Stewardship Associate DEPARTMENT: Community Relations and Development STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt SALARY: $87,550 MISSION STATEMENT:

SCOPE OF POSITION:
As a member of the Territorial Community Relations and Development staff, the Gift Planning Marketing & Stewardship Associate is responsible for:
*
the development and execution of marketing campaigns that support the fundraising efforts of Gift Planners in the Western Territory,
*
creating gift proposals for donors in Alaska, and as needed for support by Divisional Commanders during times when gift planning staff are absent, i.e. DGP in Hawai'i is on vacation, or empty DGP positions,
*
managing vendor relations to deliver marketing materials through multiple media channels while ensuring accuracy of content and adherence to The Salvation Army's brand standards, and
*
providing support for the tasks of other Gift Planning and CRD team members as requested by the Territorial Director of Gift Planning.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
*
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
*
Minimum seven years office experience.
*
Basic knowledge of creating life-income gifts plans.
*
Having a financial, legal, or business background is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1.
Typing speed of 60 wpm, Spelling - 90% accuracy, Grammar - 90% accuracy.
2.
Operation of office equipment including photocopier, laptop, printer.
3.
Ability to create Gift Planning proposals.
4.
Ability to research information and assist donors in their next steps.
5.
Ability and willingness to function as a member of the team.
6.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
7.
Outstanding written communication skills including spelling and grammar.
8.
Excellent customer service skills and mindset.
9.
Maintain the integrity of confidential or sensitive information.
10.
Able to collaborate with internal and external parties and decision-makers.
11.
Must be a self-starter and have the flexibility to manage competing priorities and adjust to frequent changes and interruptions.
12.
Willingness and capability to travel, as necessary.
13.
Ability to design flyers, brochures, and conference materials.
14.
Ability to implement a marketing plan.
SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS:
*
Advanced ability to use Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
*
Ability to use Adobe Pro, Canva or other publishing software.
*
Knowledge in the use of Crescendo software.
*
Ability to learn CRM databases efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Maintenance and updating of gift planning marketing materials inventory.
2.
Design and production of new marketing materials under the direction of the Territorial Director of Gift Planning and Senior Team Mentors.
3.
Fulfillment of THQ driven marketing orders in collaboration with local vendors.
4.
Payment of marketing invoices, and reporting of marketing budget to the TDGP.
5.
Update and maintain the marketing activities on the GP Projects & Weekly Projects List.
6.
Scheduling marketing activities as it pertains to:
a.
Fall and spring illustrations,
b.
Quarterly marketing efforts including:
a.
Direct mail Buckslips,
b.
Direct mail remits,
c.
Digital eBlasts,
c.
Maintain gift planning messages on Kaspick payment notices,
7.
Proofreading of marketing materials, donor letters and data.
8.
Workshop enhancement of existing PowerPoint presentations and training materials to improve aesthetic appeal.
9.
Other Division coordination:
a.
Alaska mailing of 1500 proposals/illustrations in Fall and Spring
b.
Support Alaska donor inquiries for Bequest, CGA and CRT gifts.
c.
Support Alaska advisor inquiries re: gift planning.
d.
Support all Divisions with gift planning needs when DGPs are on vacation or positions are vacated to maintain the momentum of Divisional gift planning marketing activities and production.
e.
Donor visits only upon approval by the Territorial Director of Gift Planning
10.
Stewardship Activities:
a.
Update & maintain the Crescendo eNewsletters for donors & advisors as requested by Gift Planners.
b.
Provide stewardship communications to Alaska gift planning donors.
c.
Develop new stewardship gift planning materials for the territory.
11.
Participate in all gift planning training webinars.
12.
Attend mandatory annual Gift Planning and/or CRD conferences.
13.
Attend monthly Gift Planning and Senior Team meetings as well as weekly THQ Gift Planning staff meetings.
14.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Territorial Director of Gift Planning.
