Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise-wide system and process transformation initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. This role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define future-state business processes, evaluate technology solutions, and support the implementation of new systems. The position plays a critical role throughout the full system lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and production support, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder engagement and research.
Evaluate current business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop process models and documentation to support system and process enhancements.
Analyze system requirements, including data flows, input/output needs, and integration points.
Assess organizational impacts of system and process changes, including roles and workflows.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to define requirements and align stakeholders.
Support business case development, including cost-benefit analysis and documentation.
Configure and maintain system settings across environments in alignment with business needs.
Develop and execute test cases, including unit and functional testing, and validate results.
Support system implementation activities, including demonstrations and end-user training.
Provide production support by troubleshooting system issues and coordinating resolutions.
Collaborate with technical teams on system integrations, APIs, and data mapping processes.
Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2 to 6 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role.
Experience supporting the full lifecycle of web-based applications, including requirements, configuration, testing, and production support.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes.
Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Familiarity with application integration concepts, including data mapping and APIs.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
Work Experience
Experience partnering with engineering teams on web-based solutions preferred.
Experience supporting system implementations or digital transformation initiatives preferred.
Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments preferred.
