Job Summary


The AutoCAD Designer is responsible for creating, updating, and converting 2D AutoCAD drawings and blocks from 3D Creo models to support engineering and design projects. This role ensures that all drawings comply with company standards and accurately represent design intent. The AutoCAD Designer collaborates closely with engineers and project teams to maintain high-quality documentation and facilitate efficient project execution.

Job Responsibilities




  • Develop precise and standardized 2D AutoCAD blocks for components and assemblies.



  • Redraw and update existing AutoCAD blocks to meet current design standards and project requirements.



  • Convert 3D Creo models into accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings while maintaining dimensional integrity.



  • Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards and industry best practices.



  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to interpret design specifications and incorporate feedback.



  • Maintain organized drawing files, version control, and documentation for easy retrieval.



  • Support project teams by providing timely and accurate drafting deliverables.




Job Requirements




  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and familiarity with Creo 3D modeling software.



  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and drafting standards.



  • Ability to accurately interpret and convert 3D models into 2D representations.



  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.



  • Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field preferred.



  • Experience in mechanical or industrial design environments preferred.




Skills




  • AutoCAD expertise in 2D drafting and block creation.



  • Basic knowledge of Creo 3D modeling and conversion to 2D.



  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.



  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
