Driver Helper Classification: Hourly Salary Range: $22.50 Reports to: Transportation Manager Job Description This position is responsible for assisting the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to and from aircrafts or other locations in an efficient and safe manner by following all company procedures. Job Responsibilities: Load and unload aircraft in a safe and efficient manner to ensure safety of self and others and to eliminate damage to product and aircraft. Guide the driver using correct hand signals and safety wands to safely position the catering truck at the aircraft Ensure aircraft is correctly catered and all equipment is in place per loading diagram Promptly off load vehicles at facility to ensure efficient processing of airline equipment Verify meal carts based on flight configuration Verify flight for completeness to ensure your carts are complete Work with dispatcher for flight times and schedules Ensure compliance with airline specifications, personal hygiene, and food handling procedures. Communicate effectively with team members. Job Qualifications: Must pass a ten (10) year background check and drug screen. Good understanding of aircraft galleys and In-Flight Catering Customs seal requirement and TSA. Able to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs. Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Ability to work as a team member.
