Great Hill Solutionsis seeking an IT Project Manager to support the Information Management and Technology Directorate of a large Department of War (DoW) agency in the National Capital Region. The candidate will apply traditional and agile project management principles to manage the planning, execution, and delivery of one or more concurrent IT projects using a matrixed team of contractor and civilian staff. This role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups, both internal and external to the agency, to represent the project(s) in key executive stakeholder meetings, and to deliver required reporting in multiple written and verbal formats. The candidate must have 8+ years of experience managing projects that modernize legacy IT systems and deliver new IT capabilities, spanning the full project lifecycle. This includes experience with systems engineering, system development methodologies, and facilitating activities between the technical project teams, business owners, and IT owners. A prior history managing projects in at least two of the following technical areas is required: 1) legacy mainframe modernization and application consolidation/rationalization; 2) data, business process and compliance management; and 3) DoW acquisition regulation and DoW supply chain concepts. The candidate must be proactive, adaptable, and skilled at managing team dynamics across a diverse, multi-vendor contractor and civilian workforce. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
