We are seeking a Tech Specialist 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
Technical Specialist provides advanced technical leadership in the development, implementation, final testing, startup, commissioning, calibration of instrumentation devices within BMS (Building Management Systems), EPMS (Electrical Power Management Systems), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and (ICS) Industrial Control systems. This role is responsible for implementing multiple interconnected systems with advanced configurable integrations, ensuring optimal performance, interoperability, and security. The Technical Specialist understands sophisticated electrical and mechanical distribution systems. Assist in planning and execution of complex projects, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise. You will contribute to a safe working environment for co-workers and customers and help ensure the overall success of projects. Local, regional, and national travel may be required.

Define and determine design projects scope of work based on customers' needs providing high quality design solutions and incorporating new models to augment design standards

Review Request for Proposals (RFP) documentation, Statement of Work, and Client Specifications provided for new project bids.

Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Cost Estimates for new project bids.

Develop procedures to validate system configuration, test plans, deployment/commissioning plans and administration procedures.

Developing and improving design standards.

Provide Quality Control review of shop drawing packages before they are submitted to the client.

Leading complex projects, mentoring and overseeing projects execution through design excellence processes, ensuring high delivery quality

Design, sustain, and provide technical support for deployed security systems.

Partner with engineering leadership to identify skill gaps and prioritize training initiatives.

Collaborate with installation, deployment, and Project Management teams to ensure standards are maintained, provide recommendations and guidance on solution deployments, and assist in resolving issues at a high level.

Collaborate with other engineering teams on new technology developments or changes in customers' environments that may require new solutions.

Assist at the data center construction site with coordination of installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning the security systems.

Working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security systems and applications like CCURE (Software House), Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, HID, Axis, and/or others. Candidate should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of how these systems operate and be familiar with flaws and improvements.

Help identify, as needed, new technologies and/or changes in customer environments that may require new solutions and present them to the senior engineering management to be developed.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs.
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires 10 or more years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of EPMS, BMS, Industrial instrumentation and/or SCADA systems
- 10+ years of experience with a High School Diploma 8+ years of experience with an Associate's
- Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
Preferred Technologies:
- Allen Bradley PLC, Ignition, Distech, Niagara, Siemens Desigo, Eaton Foreseer, Schneider EPO, Open Systems Interconnection (OSI), Wonderware, Instrumentation calibrator/simulator
Preferred Certifications:
- AutoCAD
- BIM/Revit
- Bluebeam
- Access control system certifications (Software House CCURE, Lenel)
- Video Management Systems Certifications (Genetec, Milestone, Axis)
