Overview

TRC is seeking a PIV and Pipeline Support Associate candidate to support the delivery of a large commercial energy efficiency program in Oregon and SW Washington. Through the program, we deliver technical assistance and cash incentives to customers in commercial facilities and buildings to help make electric and natural gas energy efficiency upgrades possible.

The ideal candidate will be assertive, personable, and a self-starter, experienced with project management and the lateral management of people. They will understand electric and natural gas energy systems (HVAC, boilers, foodservice equipment, etc.) and display a passion for accountability, clear expectations, and deadlines, and understanding how projects fit into the bigger picture. Previous experience with energy efficiency programs, building performance principles and best practices, and/or construction management is preferred, but not required.

This person is someone who isn't afraid to reach out to all types of people and understands how to motivate colleagues to get projects completed. This person will reach into many different areas of the program and will have contact with many team members. Someone outgoing, creative, process-driven, a problem solver, and able to hold people to account is ideal.

This position will be based in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area and will be able to travel to sites on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills: experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Responsible for the final steps of the Existing Building program project pipeline.
  • Monitor and report performance metrics for specific individuals, teams and projects.
  • Provide regular requests to engineers, outreach staff, program staff, and customers including email, phone calls and in-person meetings.
  • Update all teams on PIV progress and update reporting on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and engaging environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in project management, and/or other administrative experience that includes managing other team members' ability to complete tasks that impact your success.
  • A self-starter who can multitask with a high level of organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and the ability to learn and operate TRC/client-designed customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade lateral colleagues to perform and adopt new processes.
  • Strong customer service skills that include highly effective communication in-person, over email, and over the phone.
  • Self-driven and a team player with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with program teammates.
  • Experience and comfort with public speaking, direct outreach, and networking.
  • Ability to coordinate, schedule, and conduct team meetings professionally.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, cultural awareness, and cultural responsiveness.

Salary and Benefits

The position is a full-time position. Starting salary range is market competitive, and dependent on qualifications and experience. TRC is an equal opportunity employer, with a benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401(k).

  • Beginning Salary Range $70,000 to $85,000, depending on experience

  • 401 (k) package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and a company match.
  • Paid time off contingent upon full-time or part-time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).

  • TRC ensures that all employees, including those who work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the salary range provided is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program, which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators, which vary by year and employee.
