Requisition Summary

The Inventory Control Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring all Dynacraft inventory standards are consistently met. This role involves upholding and promoting PACCAR and Dynacraft values and mission while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and procedural standards across all inventory operations. The manager will oversee daily inventory control activities, lead production schedulers, manage team deployment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires effective communication across departments, leadership in training and development, and thorough incident investigation and resolution. This role is based in Louisville, Kentucky, for the evening shift.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Document safety incident investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and leadership development projects to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Establish daily operational priorities and monitor progress to achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage daily inventory control activities across Dynacraft and Dynacraft MSS facilities.
  • Supervise the daily tasks of production schedulers to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Logistics Engineers and Team Leads to ensure associates receive appropriate training.
  • Verify daily team member time and attendance records for accuracy.
  • Complete root cause analyses for inventory-related issues and develop corrective action plans.
  • Oversee the deployment and scheduling of team members to meet operational demands.
  • Train, evaluate, and provide regular feedback on team member performance; prepare evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments regarding plant issues and follow-up tasks.
  • Recognize and reward team members for outstanding performance and contributions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in production or distribution environments required.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma Minitab software is a plus.
  • Ability to supervise, make independent decisions, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and issues.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel daily between Dynacraft and Dynacraft MSS facilities.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
