Job Description:
- Seeking a SharePoint Administrator / Developer to support, administer, and enhance the organization's Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online environment.
- This role combines operational support, administration, automation, and light development to ensure reliable collaboration services, secure access, and scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
- The position has evolved from legacy on-prem SharePoint administration to a modern Microsoft 365-centric role, with emphasis on SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform integrations, automation, and governance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Administer and support SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business environments.
- Create and manage SharePoint sites, site collections, document libraries, lists, and pages as requested and approved.
- Configure and troubleshoot permissions, including resolving broken inheritance and performing bulk permission updates.
- Review and manage external sharing requests in accordance with IT and security policies.
- Restore files, folders, and sites from recycle bins and backups as needed.
- Monitor storage usage and assist with inactive site identification and cleanup.
- Process user access requests (add/remove users) upon receipt of appropriate owner approval.
- Assist with SharePoint and OneDrive access-related issues.
- Troubleshoot OneDrive sync and client-related issues.
- Support restoration of deleted OneDrive and SharePoint sites when required.
- Respond to and resolve SharePoint- and OneDrive-related helpdesk tickets.
- Communicate status updates clearly to end users and stakeholders.
- Follow up with users after issue resolution to confirm satisfaction.
- Document recurring issues and solutions to improve future support and knowledge reuse.
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Power Automate workflows associated with SharePoint.
- Develop and support SharePoint-integrated Power Apps solutions and forms.
- Assist users with basic Power Apps form issues and enhancements.
- Support Nintex Forms and Nintex Automation Cloud workflows where applicable.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support SharePoint administration tasks, including:
- Site usage monitoring and reporting
- Identification of inactive sites and notification of site owners
- Bulk permission updates
- Storage and usage monitoring
- Assist with governance-related reporting and administrative automation.
- Support SharePoint governance standards related to site provisioning, permissions, external sharing, and lifecycle management.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and operational reviews related to SharePoint usage.
- Collaborate with IT leadership, security, and business teams to improve collaboration services.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform features and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Experience administering SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and permission models.
- Experience with Power Automate and SharePoint-integrated Power Apps.
- Ability to troubleshoot permissions, access issues, and sync problems.
- Experience using PowerShell for SharePoint or Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and document solutions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Nintex Forms and Nintex Automation Cloud.
- Familiarity with SharePoint governance, lifecycle management, and audit support.
- Prior experience supporting large or enterprise SharePoint environments.
- Understanding of legacy SharePoint concepts (on-prem environments) for historical context.
