The Associate Director of Medical Communications and Scientific Training will support the development and execution of the medical communication strategy and plan via a data-driven omni-channel approach to deliver measurable impact on behalf of patients with Specialty conditions. This role will flex to support medical communications across the Specialty medicine portfolio.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the US Medical Integrated Scientific
  • Communication plan (ISCP) and enable pull through to the field medical engagement plan.
  • Help shape the medical communication strategy, plan, and communication goals.
  • Serve as a business owner for the development of US-specific medical content ensuring it's fit-for-purpose for scientific exchange across all formats and selected channels.
  • Prioritize investment in medical communication activities that deliver the greatest strategically aligned impact measured via GSK's Medical Impact Framework.
  • Develop key performance indicators to measure impact and use data and analytics to optimize customer experience in partnership with the US Medical Analytics team.
  • Support the development of scientific training content and collaborate with field medical leadership and other key stakeholders to support scientific training and the asset medical curriculum.
  • Lead the development of medical content and support the overall customer experience for select congresses.
  • Apply sound medical governance for all activities in alignment with relevant GSK
  • policies and procedures.
  • For all deliverables, collaborate with medical experts as appropriate and cross-functional internal teams inclusive of Global Medical, Field Medical, Clinical Development, and Commercial

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or advanced science degree.
  • Two or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Two or more years of experience in leading and working within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Industry and/or clinical experience in immunology, hepatology, or respiratory disease.
  • Experience interpreting, analyzing, and organizing scientific data to tell an impactful story.
  • Experience in scientific communications.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate to diverse audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with strategic and tactical planning.
  • Experience using GenAI tools and other new technologies with ease.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong learning agility demonstrated by the ability to gain scientific expertise in new therapy areas quickly.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and business acumen skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
