We are currently seeking a Pricing and Proposal Analyst to join the project finance team. The position requires a blend of financial analysis, proposal strategy and delivery, pricing expertise, and cross-functional collaboration. The role will provide support across financial forecasting and proposal budget development, oversee proposal delivery, and drive continuous process improvements within the team.


What You'll Do

Proposal Strategy & Financial Leadership

  • Support financial strategy and pricing development for complex proposals, ensuring alignment between technical approaches, staffing plans, and financial models.
  • Support senior manager with scientific leaders and business development teams to develop competitive proposal strategies that balance client value, operational feasibility, and financial performance.
  • Assist in the development of financial components of proposal development including cost models, pricing structures, staffing plans, and margin analysis.
  • Assist in ensuring proposal budgets comply with internal financial policies and client requirements.

Proposal Development & Coordination

  • Responsible for end-to-end proposal submission delivery to clients, including coordinating internal schedules, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring sufficient review time to support accurate, high-quality, and timely proposal submissions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate technical, operational, and financial components into cohesive proposals.
  • Support the development of proposal narratives that clearly articulate project scope, value, and delivery approach.

Project Financial Management

  • Provide guidance to project teams on financial performance, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability management.
  • Ensure strong financial oversight of awarded projects including monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cost recovery.

Strategic Financial Oversight

  • Support the primary finance partner to RTI-HS Practice Areas on financial planning, investment decisions, and portfolio performance.
  • Support the management of budgeting and forecasting processes across the business, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership to support decision making.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Support finance and proposal process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, strengthen financial controls, and improve decision making.
  • Assist in facilitating the implementation of new financial systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing strategies, proposal workflows, and financial management processes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Foster a collaborative team culture focused on accountability, professional growth, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure the finance and proposal teams have the capabilities and resources needed to support RTI-HS growth.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of direclty related experience
  • Experience in consulting, research organizations, government contracting, or life sciences environments strongly preferred.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
