Job Summary:
The Director of Aerospace is responsible for establishing, leading and scaling Client's Aerospace business across strategy, customer engagement, program execution, technical alignment, and commercial performance. This role provides full ownership of the Aerospace vertical, serving as the primary leader connecting customers, operations, engineering, quality, and commercial teams to deliver profitable growth from early market penetration through sustained production programs. The Director of Aerospace will develop and execute the long-term aerospace strategy, build and deepen customer relationships, penetrate new markets, and ensure alignment between aerospace customer requirements and Clients internal capabilities across advanced materials and composites manufacturing. , This role is accountable for driving aerospace readiness, supporting qualification and production
scale-up, and embedding aerospace rigor, discipline, and execution standards across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
o Aerospace Strategy & Market Leadership:
o Own and execute Clients Aerospace strategy, including market segmentation, customer prioritization, growth targets, and margin performance.
o Lead strategic market mapping across commercial aerospace, defense and space sectors.
o Identify and evaluate new products, platforms, and application opportunities aligned with company capabilities in composites and advanced materials.
o Drive long-range planning, including revenue forecasting, pipeline development and conversion of development programs into production business.
o Maintain accountability for aerospace revenue growth, pricing strategy, and margin discipline, balancing commercial opportunity with operational and financial risk.
o Customer & Program Leadership
o Serve as the senior point of contact for key aerospace customers.
o Lead customer engagement across technical, commercial, quality, and program dimensions.
o Ensure disciplined execution of aerospace programs from development through production and lifecycle management.
o Maintain accountability for program-level performance, including cost, schedule, quality, and profitability across the full program lifecycle.
o Champion Voice of the Customer and translate customer needs into actionable internal priorities.
o Technical & Composites Integration
o Provide leadership in aligning aerospace customer requirements with internal advanced composites and materials capabilities, including resin systems and prepregs as well as carbon fiber and glass composites.
o Partner with Engineering, New Products Development, and Operations to guide product development and qualification strategies.
o Support aerospace product and capability roadmaps, including recommendations for new technologies, equipment, tooling and process investments.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
o Bachelor"s degree in engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace, or related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
o 12-15 years" experience of aerospace, advanced materials or composites manufacturing environment.
o Demonstrated experience working with aerospace OEMs or Tier 1/2 suppliers.
o Proven experience supporting aerospace customers across development, qualification, and sustained production phases.
o Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional responsibilities.
o Proven experience supporting aerospace customers across development, qualification, and production phases.
o Strong knowledge of composite materials processing methods and aerospace qualification requirements.
o Exposure to both aerospace and defense programs preferred.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of AS9100, aerospace quality requirements, ITAR and customer qualification processes.
o Strong business acumen with ability to manage growth, margin, and operational tradeoffs.
o Exceptional leadership, influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and execution-focused environments.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
o Office-based role with visits to manufacturing sites.
