Job Summary

The Sales Engineering Intern - This position works closely with the Hyperscale Sale Engineering teams to provide organizational and administrative support. The Sales Engineering Intern will work with the Hyperscale Account and Offer Management Teams to facilitate on-going projects, help to start new initiatives and develop Lightpath solutions.

Essential Functions/Duties

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.   • Develop strong relationships with Sales Engineering, Sales, and Offer Management teams.
  • Organize and Track developing Customer Opportunities.
  • Organize and Track "in-flight" customer projects. Present current statuses of each project to the overall team.
  • Develop an understanding of the financial and technical challenges of customer requirements and Lightpath capabilities.
  • Develop an ability to articulate and understand Lightpath's technology and the benefits that can be achieved in customer environments.
  • Responsible for participating and successfully completing all companywide mandates/training in a timely manner.
  • Complies with all Ethics and professional standards.
  • Complies with all corporate and organizational security policies and guidelines.
  • Abides by all policies and procedures.
  • Performs a myriad of tasks as required and/or assigned.

Education and Experience:

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Preferred level of education and experience necessary to successfully perform the principal responsibilities of this position:

  • Able to develop trusted relationships, a strong internal network and use influence to drive change.

  • Able to negotiate and compromise to drive consensus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences, including technical and business executives.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with project management experience.
