Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping to monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, a visible presence, and responsive customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and handle security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and care.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building common areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor the location for maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations, and communicate observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
