Job Description




As a Security Officer - Corporate Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer in a commercial real estate office location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support tenants, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. In a team-focused environment, you will bring reliability, integrity, and adaptability to daily operations while helping create a welcoming atmosphere.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office location.
  • Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with visitor directions, tenant inquiries, and other general support needs.
  • Complete routine reports and activity logs, report hazards and/or policy violations, and support a professional atmosphere for occupants and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
