Job Description

A Component Designer-Checker job in Phoenix, AZ 85008 is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Associates in Computer Aided Design or similar and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional info:
*Create and revise Mechanical and Electrical OEM Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) component models and specification sheets utilizing Creo, Windchill & Adobe.
*Able to create Creo part level models with the ability to flex sections of the model as needed to accurately correspond with the motion abilities of the actual component.
*Creation of new family table instances and/or new family tables for qualifying components
*Assures that mechanical component models match manufacturer specifications to assure proper space and interface representations in upper level assembly models to accurately predict the fit and potential interferences.
*Assures that electrical component models contain necessary features to assure proper assembly capabilities in necessary cable assemblies and electro-mechanical Creo Schematics models.
*Assess the models and documentation created by other team members to verify parameters, accuracy of information, and verification of the model to the manufacturer"s specifications.
*Utilize Adobe Acrobat software to generate accurate specification sheets for individual component parts being created.
*Implementation of customer provided redline markups.
*Verifies own completed work checking parameters, modeling standards, and accuracy of part models with manufacturer"s specifications.
*Generation of Engineering Change Requests including necessary redline markups interpreted through customer input.

Required:
*Requires Associates in Computer Aided Design, or similar degree.
*Must have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills ensuring positive customer relations.
*Must have ability on Creo platform, including experience in creation and modification of family table objects is required.
*Previous experience with Windchill PLM is required.

Preferred:
*Beneficial to have knowledge and implementation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
*Beneficial to have demonstrated abilities with Creo Schematics.
*Beneficial to have demonstrated abilities with Creo surfacing.
*Beneficial to have prior leadership experience
