Position Summary STERIS is hosting a Hiring Event and actively seeking experienced Welder professionals to join our team. If you're an advanced welder who thrives in a high-quality manufacturing environment and wants to build a long-term career, we encourage you to apply. As a Welder III, you will perform high-mix, low-volume manual TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum components used in a medical device manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex welding blueprints within a medical device manufacturing environment. What You'll do as a Welder III Perform TIG welding to prescribed specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and welding symbols. Complete joint penetration (CJP) welds, fitting and purging as required. Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy. Conduct visual weld inspections and support quality compliance. Troubleshoot welding equipment and processes. Assist with mentoring and training Welder I and II team members. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required: High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of Welding experience. 2 years of experience working in a solid metal fabrication/machining environment required. Preferred: Welding experience in flux core, MIG, stick and carbon steel preferred. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
