Job Title : Desktop Support Technician
Location: Chester SC
Duration: 7 months contract
Payrange: $20-23

Service Desk Analyst
The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for providing timely IT support to end users by managing incidents and service requests through multiple channels (phone, email, ticketing system, and walk-ins). The role focuses on first-level troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and escalation to appropriate teams when necessary.
Key Responsibilities


  • Provide first-level support, triage, and troubleshooting for IT issues across global users (onsite and remote).
  • Log, categorize, prioritize, and manage tickets in line with SLAs.
  • Resolve incidents within scope or escalate with proper documentation.
  • Deliver deskside and second-level support when required.
  • Support hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices) and software (Windows, macOS, M365, browsers, business apps).
  • Assist users with basic training and "how-to" guidance.
  • Maintain IT asset tracking and coordinate with vendors for support and procurement.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and follow ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
  • Identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement.



Technical Skills


  • Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android
  • Tools: MS 365, Intune/MDM, Active Directory
  • Hardware & Networking troubleshooting
  • Ticketing systems and ITSM tools



Qualifications


  • 1-3 years of IT support experience (L1/L2).
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments and remote users.



Nice to Have


  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience with imaging, MDM tools, and soft phone systems (e.g., Avaya)
