Overview
The Surgery Scheduling Specialist coordinates the scheduling of patient procedures for General surgery and Colorectal procedures. Ensures procedures are scheduled effectively, accurately, and efficiently with productivity and quality standards. Facilitates communication between self, providers, staff and patients to ensure needs of patients are met. Diploma/GED, Work Experience: Customer service Responsibilities Schedules patients for procedures in General Surgery and Colorectal procedures. Collaborates with other departments to provide interdisciplinary care for patients Prioritizes care based on procedure, patient population and available staff. Reviewing provider schedules to prevent errors and directing any necessary changes to leadership. Must maintain productivity and quality measures in all areas. Answers and operates telephone. Listens and evaluates needs of callers, then handles appropriately. Rooms patients including performing and documenting vital signs and preparing patient to see the surgeon, as needed. Verifies insurance benefits and communicates information to patients. May set up or assist with in office procedures. Maintains all instruments by following procedures for sterilization to CS and keeping rooms supplied and reviewing for expiration dates. About Us Find it here. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $18.65per hour - $30.21per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
