Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for Congressional Affairs Admin Analyst to support U.S. Navy's Team Submarine Program Offices at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! We are seeking a candidate to support all submarine and weapons systems program offices in their interactions and communications with Congress, the media and the public.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the tracking and processing of congressional taskers that affect Team Submarine to ensure timely responses, proper coordination with affected stakeholders, and proper format and content.
  • Utilize Navy tasker tracking system (ETMS2) to keep tasker status updated and available for review by other ETMS2 subscribers.
  • Coordinate the security review of documents proposed for public release that involve information about the US Navy's submarine fleet and weapon systems.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, set-up conference room schedules, maintain leadership calendars, prepare correspondence, organize and handle mail, file records, coordinate and update action items, coordinate document storage and inventory, and courier documents.
  • Provide logistic support (schedule conference rooms, send invitations, track responses, coordinate agenda and schedule) for annual briefs to Congressional staff (Spring) on Navy budget and program priorities.

Education and Experience:
  • Three (3) years professional experience in professional admin support, program tracking and coordination.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Demonstrated experience juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit strong and professional communication and management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance is required.

Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with Congress, its committees and the processes for Appropriations and the annual National Defense Authorization Act.
  • Experience with Navy Acquisition programs and their communications, interactions, preparations, messaging and responses to Congressional inquiries, hearings, testimony and Requests for Information (RFI).

Work Location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard. Telework options for 1-2 days per week.

Travel: Not expected.
