Tapestry Senior Application Specialist

The Epic Tapestry Senior Application Specialist is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and support of Epic Tapestry applications supporting the Kaiser Permanente Nevada and Hometown Health joint venture. This role partners closely with operational stakeholders, business leaders, project teams, and other IT application teams to deliver solutions that support health plan administration, member services, provider management, claims processing, utilization management, enrollment, premium billing, and customer relationship management functions.

The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in one or more Tapestry functional areas, including Benefits, Utilization Management (UM), Enrollment, Cheers CRM, Provider Networks/Triplets, Claims, or Premium Billing, while maintaining a broad understanding of integrated health plan workflows across Epic.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, test, implement, and maintain Epic Tapestry functionality.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Epic solutions.
• Develop and maintain application documentation, workflows, build specifications, and testing plans.
• Participate in upgrades, new feature implementation, optimization efforts, and issue resolution.
• Support break-fix tickets, enhancement requests, and operational maintenance activities.
• Partner closely with operational and business stakeholders to understand workflows, gather requirements, validate system design decisions, and obtain guidance on build, configuration, and optimization activities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders by providing application expertise, recommending best practices, and ensuring system build aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or an equivalent level of professional experience required.

Experience:

4-6 years' experience in application configuration/design experience, with at least 2 years configuration/design and implementation experience in the application as related to the position filled required.

4+ years' experience working in a Healthcare setting, physician practice or hospital preferred.

Project Management experience preferred

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Previous SQL, C++, C#, (M), Java etc. programming experience preferred.
