FBIS is a global and diverse organization, and this Finance Specialist role will be a member of the FBIS Continuity, Compliance and Business Initiatives team.

Partnering closely with Finance, Controllership, Tax, Compliance, Information Technology, and business stakeholders, this role will help evaluate, design, implement, and support solutions that enable new business initiatives, acquisitions, product and service offerings, and evolving compliance requirements. The successful candidate will work across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, process design, solution development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working across functions, and connecting business requirements with system and process solutions. The successful candidate will bring a combination of finance process knowledge, ERP systems experience, project leadership skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across a global organization. Success in this role requires curiosity, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving projects to completion.

This is an onsite role with flexibility to support a global organization operating across multiple time zones. The office location for this position is Santa Rosa, CA. While regular onsite collaboration is expected, flexibility is available to accommodate project demands, global meetings, and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance, Controllership, Tax, Compliance, Information Technology, and business stakeholders to evaluate, design, and implement solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional, global projects involving finance systems, business processes, acquisitions, new product and service offerings, and compliance initiatives.
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate impacts, identify risks, and develop practical solutions that balance business objectives with financial and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze business processes and system workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements, increased efficiency, stronger controls, and improved user experience.
  • Collaborate with ERP, business systems, and technology teams to support enhancements, integrations, and process changes across Oracle-based finance environments and related business applications.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, business requirements, process flows, testing plans, and implementation materials to support successful project delivery.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, risks, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization and help build alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Support the assessment and implementation of governance, controls, and business processes that improve visibility, consistency, and compliance across finance-related activities.
  • Build strong relationships across global teams and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on problem solving, continuous improvement, and successful project execution.

Qualifications

This position requires an experienced business process, finance systems, or project professional with a strong understanding of financial concepts, ERP systems, and operational business processes. Successful candidates will be able to comfortably participate in discussions involving financial statements, revenue processes, tax considerations, compliance requirements, and finance-related business operations. While this is not an accounting role, candidates should possess a foundational understanding of finance and accounting concepts and understand how business transactions flow through enterprise systems and ultimately impact financial reporting.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting finance systems, ERP environments, business process improvement initiatives, compliance-related projects, or cross-functional business transformation efforts.
  • Working knowledge of core financial and accounting concepts, including income statements, balance sheets, general ledger structures, subledgers, revenue processes, financial controls, and transaction flows.
  • Experience working with enterprise ERP systems. Oracle Cloud, Oracle EBS, or similar ERP platforms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects through multiple phases including requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with experience working on complex projects involving global and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across different functions, levels, and geographic locations.
