Job Description

The Set Up Specialist I, will oversee the set up of area equipment and resolving issues that may occur. The setup specialist will work closely with technicians to train and mentor personnel to ensure setups are done correctly and consistently across all shifts by communicating and partnering with peer setup specialists. The specialist analyzes present and proposed manufacturing processes and technologies to determine improvements to set up processes, equipment tooling, and automation to optimize manufacturing processes, meet present and new regulations, reduce rejects, and increase yields. The specialist will investigate any equipment related challenges in collaboration with line QA and Manufacturing personnel.

Set Up Specialist I

  1. Oversee the mechanical operations of equipment in production areas, spending 75-80% of the time in the aseptic core (filling) or area of expertise performing set up activities and troubleshooting.
  2. Develop and assist in the proper training for operations for consistent and proper machine set up.
  3. Continuously monitor wear condition of machine and formal parts.
  4. Optimize setup operations to maximize yield and reduce waste.
  5. May assist in the selection of manufacturing process equipment.
  6. Identify and recommend and implement solutions for equipment challenges in Manufacturing.
  7. Provide operations support during new process machineabilities and make recommendations for optimized operation.
  8. Investigate incidents in collaboration with line QA and Manufacturing personnel. Identify and implement CAPAs as applicable.
  9. Maintain certifications in ISO environments (Line 1 and Line 2 filling).
  10. Provide clear and concise information in Maintenance Work Order Documentation Systems- SAP PM

Qualifications

  • High School and Equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • 2 Years' Manufacturing Experience required.
  • Lean principal certifications (Six Sigma or otherwise) preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • SAP, MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Location: Spokane, WA - On Site, Full- -Time

Shift: Shift D; Friday- Sunday and E/O Thursday 6pm - 6am

Hiring Wage: $27.36-34.18 per hour + 15% shift differential with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
