Join the Parker team and realize your future in making a positive impact on the world Position Summary Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for leading new product development, product introduction, process improvement, and new equipment projects from concept through completion. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, quality expectations, and Parker's Win Strategy. This position will manage multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, suppliers, and customers. The Project Manager must be highly organized, proactive, and capable of driving accountability while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders. Responsibilities Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple new product development process improvement, and new equipment projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project plans, master timelines, Gantt charts, action item lists, risk registers, budgets, and milestone reviews.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure project goals, deliverables, timing, cost targets, quality expectations, and customer requirements are achieved.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, communication, escalation, and alignment between internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Lead regular project meetings to review progress, resolve issues, assess risks, assign ownership, and drive action items to closure.
- Manage projects in alignment with the Division's development, including project charters, stage gate reviews, validation plans, launch readiness, and post-launch reviews.
- Coordinate new product development activities including design reviews, prototype builds, testing, validation, tooling, production readiness, and customer requirements.
- Manage new equipment projects including equipment specifications, supplier coordination, capital planning, installation, commissioning, validation, training, and handoff to Operations.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and suppliers to ensure material readiness, sourcing plans, process capability, validation requirements, and launch requirements are met.
- Track project budgets, capital expenditures, tooling costs, component costs, labor needs, project timing, and overall project performance.
- Ensure supporting documentation is completed, including standard work, work instructions, training plans, validation records, production layouts, tooling requirements, and process documentation.
- Provide technical and project support to internal and external customers as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve products, processes, equipment, and project execution.
- Promote a collaborative working environment that encourages participation, accountability, problem solving, and timely communication.
Qualifications Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous experience managing new product development, product launch, commercialization, manufacturing, equipment installation, or process improvement projects.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, suppliers, and customers.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, validation requirements, equipment implementation, and production launch activities.
- Ability to create and manage project schedules, Gantt charts, action item lists, risk registers, budgets, and milestone tracking tools.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, manufacturing requirements, equipment specifications, test plans, and product validation documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
- Experience with stage gate project management, APQP, DVP&R, PPAP, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement tools preferred.
- PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma certification, or formal project management training preferred but not required.
