Description The Department of Medicine is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations through the accurate processing and biobanking of research specimens, data entry and maintenance of laboratory databases, and organization of sample procurement records and logs. Working under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and the efficient management of laboratory resources while contributing to the department's research mission. Hourly range: $27.04-$32.31 Qualifications Required: Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols Understanding of basic laboratory techniques Working knowledge of laboratory equipment Ability to communicate verbally and to understand and carry out verbal instructions. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively to receive and convey information accurately and in a professional manner Be well organized, keep neat and detailed records Ability to modify work schedule to meet changing demands Preferred: B.S/B.A.
