Job Title: Assistant Director for AdmissionsJob Requisition ID: JR0000001858Number of Openings: 0Shift: Day (United States of America)Compensation Details: Job Description: POSITION TITLE: Assistant Director for Admissions - Job Code 10049 POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Director for Admissions provides leadership and operational support for admissions and recruitment efforts. Reporting to the Director for Admissions, this position assists in planning and coordinating admissions, recruitment, and outreach initiatives designed to support enrollment goals and enhance the prospective student experience. The Assistant Director supervises the Dual Enrollment team and serves as an Admissions Recruiter, building relationships with prospective students, high schools, and community partners. Responsibilities include developing and participating in recruitment activities; coordinating campus visits, information sessions, program showcases, and open house events; and representing OTC at community, educational, and workforce development events. The Assistant Director assists students throughout the admissions process by providing guidance on program options, admissions requirements, registration steps, and available student resources. The position is responsible for monitoring and responding to prospective student inquiries received, ensuring timely, personalized, and engaging follow-up that supports student recruitment and enrollment efforts. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and processing admission applications, evaluating high school and college transcripts, maintaining accurate student records, and ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal policies and procedures. The position requires strong customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to fostering a welcoming and student-centered environment. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues across departments, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and takes initiative in supporting students and advancing enrollment goals. The Assistant Director is expected to participate in professional development activities, including conferences, workshops, and training opportunities, and contributes to the achievement of OTC's enrollment goals. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of -Education and Two (2) years of work related experience.
