  • Lovelace Women's Hospital is a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center, and the first robotic surgery program in the state, recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol hospital buildings, parking areas, and campus grounds by foot and vehicle to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide security services for patients, visitors, physicians, staff, and hospital property while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to emergencies, security incidents, and safety concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and a calm demeanor.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security technology to identify and respond to potential security risks.
  • Conduct routine security inspections of facilities, grounds, entrances, and critical infrastructure.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and staff by providing directions, escorts, and general assistance as needed.
  • Enforce hospital policies and procedures by addressing unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, safety concerns, and other security-related issues.
  • Complete accurate and timely incident reports, investigations, and required documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital leadership, clinical teams, local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments during emergency situations.
  • Participate in ongoing training, including de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, patient restraint, and emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain department-issued equipment and perform additional duties as assigned in support of a safe healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid NM Driver's license and no DUI/DWI within last five years

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of security experience
  • Hospital environment
