This role is responsible for biostatistical activities in support of clinical trials, including providing innovative statistical solutions for scientific decision-making; preparing statistical analysis plans; writing statistical sections of clinical trial protocols; generating data tables, patient data listings and reports using SAS; analyzing clinical trial data; and contributing to the interpretation and presentation of clinical trial results.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week in our Maple Grove, MN location. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Generate statistical summary tables, patient data listings and reports using SAS.
  • Perform quality control checks of SAS programs.
  • Resolve complex SAS programming and study programming issues.
  • Compile clinical data and relevant background materials.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Sciences staff to develop scientifically sound clinical study designs and write statistical sections of clinical research protocols.
  • Perform sample size calculations and simulations.
  • Provide input on database requirements and develop SAS data set specifications.
  • Prepare statistical analysis plans and present them to broader stakeholder groups.
  • Perform programming for periodic progress reports for assigned clinical trials.
  • Assist with the interpretation of clinical trial data and contribute to the Statistical Methods and Results sections of manuscripts and clinical study reports.



Required qualifications:



  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in SAS programming.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines, including FDA/CFR, EN ISO 14155, GCP and ICH guidelines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAS programming and word processing.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial design and analysis considerations.



Preferred qualifications:



  • Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, public health or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting medical device or pharmaceutical clinical trials.
  • Experience using SQL and electronic databases.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
