Position Summary

Position Summary/Responsibilities

The Lead Person will assist Plant Leadership in overseeing production activities on the manufacturing floor to ensure on-time delivery. The person in this role works within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all manufacturing activities to assure meeting production schedules and to rotate team members through multiple positions throughout the day for ergonomic benefit.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to assure meeting cost goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Coordinate cross-training of production employees in the various operations.
  • Coordinate and provide technical, quality and production leadership to production team members.
  • Provide leadership to continuously improve manufacturing assembly and process for all assigned products/processes.
  • Perform administrative duties to support the business. Example: coordinate/ensure required labels and forms are available, etc.
  • Ability to work outside the regular shift hours as required to set up the production line.
  • Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements.
  • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects.
  • Strong project and team leadership.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
