Job Summary
Under general supervision, receives, verifies, and processes incoming materials, products, and supplies to ensure accurate inventory records and timely movement of goods. Reviews shipping documentation, enters receiving transactions into the ERP system, maintains required records, and communicates discrepancies to appropriate departments. Supports the safe and efficient flow of materials through the receiving area.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00pm or 7:00am - 3:00 pm (TBD)
- Receives and verifies incoming materials and products against packing slips, manifests, purchase orders, delivery receipts, and other documentation.
- Confirms quantities, weights, item information, and condition of received goods and reports shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Ensures required receiving documentation is complete and accurate.
- Processes receipts and related transactions in the ERP system and maintains electronic and/or physical receiving records.
- Routes materials for required inspection and supports the timely movement of received goods to appropriate storage or production areas.
- Processes returned materials, RMAs, stock transfers, and materials received from outside vendors as assigned.
- Coordinates with Purchasing, Accounting, Quality, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve routine receiving discrepancies.
- Assists delivery drivers and supports loading, unloading, staging, and movement of incoming materials.
- Operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with established safety requirements.
- Actively supports and complies with Pelican's objectives, guidelines and commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality
- Maintains an organized and safe receiving area and follows established receiving, inventory, quality, and safety procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of receiving, warehouse, material handling, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of receiving and inventory processes.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately review documentation and enter transactional information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees, vendors, and delivery personnel.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification within the introductory period.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee will frequently be required to perform standard physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, and using hands and fingers to operate or handle objects.
- The employee may also be required to perform non-standard physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally in accordance with job requirements.

Compensation & Benefits: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this positionis listed below. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
