Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Demonstrated progressive enterprise network engineering experience across LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center, cloud, and network-security environments, with the ability to independently design, troubleshoot, and support complex enterprise network solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, segmentation, load balancing, and common network protocols.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and network management or observability platforms.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, upgrading, and supporting complex network solutions.
- Broad knowledge of Cisco ACI, Arista EOS, Palo Alto firewalls, Layer 7 security, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Experience using Splunk, NETSCOUT, or comparable monitoring and analytics platforms.
- Experience with ServiceNow incident, change, request, and problem-management processes.
- Proven technical leadership, design review, risk management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to create executive-level presentations and explain technical roadmaps, options, risks, and decisions in concise business language.
- Strong documentation skills across architecture diagrams, designs, implementation and rollback plans, standards, procedures, and operational handoffs.
- Thales / legacy Gemalto or related security-platform exposure is an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- As an IT Network Engineer 4, provide senior network engineering and technical leadership across enterprise data center, network security, WAN/branch, cloud networking, and network operations.
- Design and review secure, scalable, resilient, and supportable solutions across data center, campus, branch, WAN, cloud, and security domains.
- Develop technical roadmaps, transition plans, implementation approaches, and modernization recommendations aligned with business priorities.
- Assess dependencies, interoperability, operational impacts, risks, lifecycle considerations, and supportability before implementation.
- Lead engineering discussions, review designs, guide implementation teams, and drive sound technical decisions without requiring direct people-management authority.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations, design reviews, status updates, risk summaries, and technical recommendations.
- Lead or support implementations, migrations, platform and code upgrades, lifecycle activities, scheduled changes, and operational handoffs.
- Provide engineering expertise across routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, load balancing, segmentation, wireless, and connectivity services.
- Support data-center transformation using Cisco ACI and Arista; firewall and Layer 7 security changes using Palo Alto; and branch/WAN services including SD-WAN.
- Lead troubleshooting for complex incidents, performance degradation, connectivity issues, and recurring network problems.
- Use monitoring and observability data to identify capacity, latency, availability, and performance risks and recommend corrective action.
- Work within ServiceNow processes and participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance as required, with schedules adjusted to maintain the standard 40-hour workweek.
- Mentor engineers, support technical vetting, promote consistent engineering practices, and identify practical automation and conti nuous-improvement opportunities.
Salary Range-$120,000-$140,000 a year
