Main Mission The Electrical Thermal Incident (ETI) Risks Engineer contributes to ensuring the proper control of Electrical Thermal Incidents within electrical and power electronic components and systems. He/She provides technical supervision of activities carried out by domain leaders and suppliers, supports the project engineer in evaluating the ability of components to contain the onset of an electrical incident, and participates in the follow-up and analysis of tests required to validate design robustness. Main Responsibilities 1. Technical Supervision * Act as a technical reference for all topics related to electrical thermal incident risks. * Provide technical support to development engineers in monitoring supplier activities related to ETI risk assessment. 2. Contribution to Risk Analyses * Participate in preparing technical study files dedicated to thermal incident analysis. * Contribute to identifying and assessing potential incident scenarios: o Overheating, o Cross-conduction (MOSFET/IGBT), o Short circuit, o Water or humidity ingress inside the housing, o Failures induced by extreme conditions. 3. Evaluation of Containment Capability * Support the development engineer in analyzing the design to determine the component's ability to contain the beginning of an electrical incident. * Ensure, together with the development engineer, the absence of propagation risks: o External flames, o Smoke, o Propagation through connectors or interfaces. * Contribute to defining design improvements necessary to guarantee containment. 4. Follow-up and Analysis of Destructive Testing * Provide technical support to the development engineer during supplier limit or destructive testing ("abusive tests"). * Assess the relevance of test parameters, stress conditions, and measurement methods. * Participate in the analysis of test reports. * Issue technical recommendations to support risk mitigation. 5. Documentation and Reporting * Contribute to technical decision-making regarding risk mitigation solutions. Required Profile * Bachelors degree in Engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field. * A minimum of 5 years of Engineering experience Technical Skills * Solid knowledge of power electronics components: MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, capacitors, etc. * Understanding of Low Voltage (LV) 48 V and 400-800 V architectures. * Good level of English, written and spoken. Soft Skills * Strong critical thinking and ability to structure technical conclusions. * Technical curiosity and scientific rigor. * Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. * Strong interest in laboratory testing and hands-on investigations. Position Environment * Cross-functional role at the heart of electrical safety concerns. * Interfaces with internal teams (EE, quality, safety, design) and external suppliers.
