Facilities Assistant

We are searching for a motivated and reliable facilities assistant with at least 2 years of experience. If you have proven expertise in the basic techniques or repairs and maintenance, then we want you to join our team in La Crosse, WI.

We are searching for a Facilities Assistant who will be responsible for assisting in various office and shop cleaning and maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• General cleaning of the office building including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
• Responsible for mail delivery, shipping and receiving coordination.
• General facilities maintenance to include inspection of HVAC equipment, changing of filters and scheduling subcontractors for maintenance
• Oversight of shop cleaning help
• Responsible for miscellaneous errands and conference room set-up/clean up

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of janitorial/facilities experience
• Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in the basic techniques of repairs and maintenance including grounds maintenance
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and compose basic reports
• Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of staff member with positive communications
• Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, late evenings)
• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated
• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds, be able to climb and work from a ladder, ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bending, carrying, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing and walking.
• Must have a valid driver's license
