Description & Requirements
The NetSuite practice is part of Forvis Mazars' Business Technology Services (BTS) team. BTS helps organizations use ERP, CRM, advanced technology, and managed services to support growth and transformation through services that include assessment, design, implementation, upgrades, automation, training, monitoring, and support. Forvis Mazars is a certified Oracle NetSuite partner providing NetSuite software licensing, implementation, integration, and consulting services. The NetSuite practice is growing and offers the opportunity to work across a range of client needs while helping shape the team's capabilities, delivery approach, and future direction.
The Consultant, NetSuite supports clients across NetSuite implementations, optimization initiatives, and ongoing consulting engagements. This role combines functional consulting with hands-on configuration, data migration, testing, documentation, training, workflow design, and light customization. The consultant will work with senior team members on larger or more complex engagements while independently owning smaller workstreams. Success in this role requires practical NetSuite and inventory-management experience, sound judgment, clear client communication, and the ability to translate business needs into maintainable solutions. This is a hybrid/remote position.
What You Will Do:
  • Participate across the NetSuite implementation lifecycle, including requirements and process discussions, solution configuration, data migration, testing, user acceptance support, training, go-live, and post-go-live support.
  • Translate client business requirements into practical NetSuite solutions, with particular attention to inventory-related processes and controls.
  • Configure NetSuite features, workflows, roles, forms, searches, reports, and other functional components within the consultant's experience and project responsibilities.
  • Prepare, validate, and support the migration of master and transactional data into NetSuite.
  • Own smaller project workstreams independently while coordinating design decisions, risks, and dependencies with senior consultants and project leadership.
  • Support optimization, managed support, and advisory engagements in addition to full implementation projects.
  • Perform light customization and assist with solution scoping, level-of-effort development, and implementation planning.
  • Create clear functional documentation, configuration records, test materials, training content, and client-facing deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate timely resolution with clients, internal team members, and technical resources.
  • Continue developing knowledge of NetSuite capabilities, implementation methods, AI-enabled ways of working, and priority practice offerings.
  • What Success Looks Like:
    • Practical business judgment and the ability to connect system configuration decisions to client operations.
    • Clear written and verbal communication with both business users and project team members.
    • A client-service mindset, attention to detail, and accountability for assigned outcomes.
    • The ability to work independently on defined workstreams and collaboratively within larger delivery teams.
    • Strong organization and prioritization across concurrent assignments and deadlines.
    • Curiosity, adaptability, and an AI-forward approach to improving how consulting work is performed.
    • Interest in contributing ideas, building new capabilities, and helping shape a growing NetSuite practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-3+ years of hands-on NetSuite work experience gained through consulting, implementation delivery, or a substantive end-user role.
  • Demonstrated experience with NetSuite inventory-management processes and related configuration.
  • Experience participating in NetSuite implementation or enhancement work, including configuration, data migration, testing, documentation, training, or post-go-live support.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into practical NetSuite configurations and process recommendations.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and communicating progress, issues, and decisions clearly.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% based on client and project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • NetSuite WMS experience; this is a highly preferred qualification because WMS is relevant to multiple anticipated implementation projects.
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, light manufacturing, or wholesale distribution environments.
  • Experience with NetSuite SuiteProjects or SuiteBilling.
  • Current NetSuite certification or relevant NetSuite training.
  • Experience with workflow configuration, light customization, implementation scoping, or level-of-effort development.
