Brief Summary of Job Duties Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research, and in close partnership with campus experts and constituents, the Training & Communications Officer utilizes subject matter expertise and in-depth understanding of best practices in the management of sponsored projects to support the design and conduct of research administration training. The Officer will evaluate training needs and propose the best approach for training delivery, and partner extensively with campus subject matter experts and Office of Research (OR) leads to develop and deliver necessary training and related communications. The Training & Communications Officer will develop or revise research administration training and communications, develop training materials and webinars, coordinate training sessions and lead training exercises. The role will analyze frequently changing federal, state and university policies and assist in developing guidance for staff, researchers and research administrators. The Training & Communications Officer is responsible for managing content development, delivering trainings, and managing related communications on behalf of OR, including maintenance of website content. This role may be eligible for delegated signature authority. Required Qualifications
