Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach ENGR 115- Introduction to Computing for Engineers.

Course Description

An introductory course in computer programming for scientists and engineers. Introducing aspects of algorithm design and software development including specification of the problem, design of a solution, implementation of code, and testing.

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including duringtraining.Presently,we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states exceptCalifornia.ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Qualifications

Applicant Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate degree listed holds a degree in the Teaching Discipline (see below).

Applicable Professional Certification

  • Professional Engineer's license
  • Project Management Institute certification
  • Certificate of completion from a program that provides at least 80 hours of training in a topic that covers the content of the teaching discipline for ENGR 115

Desired Professional Training or Experience:

  • Engineering project management
  • Participation in engineering design reviews
  • Service on conceptual design teams for aerospace systems
  • Direction of or participation in laboratory testing of engineering systems

Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline:

  • Systems Engineering
  • Engineering (includes Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautics, Architectural, Civil, Electronic, Computer, Industrial, Mechanical, Naval Architecture & Marine, Reliability, Safety Systems, Structural, and Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Theoretical or Applied Mechanics
  • Engineering Education
  • Engineering Mechanics
