Position Summary:



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join YU Global as a Facilitator for certificate course. As a Facilitator, you will be responsible for facilitating an online learning experience for participants learning industry specific content in order to develop skills which will enhance or augment their employability. However, the key emphasis of this role lies in providing mentorship to students, guiding and supporting them throughout their learning journey and ensuring their content mastery.

The time commitment is about 5 hours per week for contracts ranging from 8 weeks, 10 weeks, three months or six months, depending on the course. Industries would include accounting, construction management, human resources, artificial intelligence, instructional design, sales and marketing.



Position Responsibilities:




  • Learning: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking and skill development.
  • Supporting: Provide timely and thorough responses to questions from students regarding assignments, projects, and assessments to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
  • Mentoring: Foster a mentoring relationship with students by offering guidance, advice, and support academic, career and personal matters. Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions as needed with students to address their individual needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Tracking: Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas where additional support or intervention may be required.
  • Meeting: Facilitate weekly meetups (in person or via Zoom or Teams) to build rapport with participants and extend the mentoring relationship.
  • Collaborating: Where needed, collaborate with fellow teaching mentors and program staff to enhance instructional techniques and promote continuous improvement.
  • Practicing: Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the field, incorporating relevant industry insights into the mentoring and learning experience.



Experience & Educational Background:




  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) and/or significant work experience in the relevant industry is required.
  • Previous mentoring and coaching experience, preferably in adult education settings or within the assigned industry.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in the content area, with a passion for sharing that knowledge and mentoring others.



Skills & Competencies:




  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in building rapport and establishing effective relationships with participants.
  • Technological proficiency, including the ability to effectively utilize instructional technology and online learning platforms.



Salary Range:



$1,000 - $3,000
