Position Description:

The University of Iowa, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine, and Occupational Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting for BC/BE pulmonologists and/or intensivists. These positions will be at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor, tenure, or clinical track (non-tenure track), depending on qualifications. Successful candidates will receive a salary commensurate with the individual's training and experience and will be offered protected time and a start-up package tailored to meet the needs of the recruited faculty.

Clinical duties include the inpatient service at the University Hospital and VA Hospital and regular outpatient clinics. Responsibilities may vary based on the experience and interests of the successful candidates.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.



Education Requirement:

Candidates must have a M.D. degree or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

This position requires completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency Program.

Applicants must have demonstrated outstanding abilities and skills in teaching and clinical medicine.
