Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
  • Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
  • Business development, which includes developing new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and implementing a personal business plan with our team of senior leaders;
  • Prepare technical plans, reports, data analysis, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Direct data quality, data management, and other technical discipline teams in preparing plans and reports;
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties;
  • At times, the job may also include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction;
  • Scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project and task assignments;
  • Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
  • Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), engineering (environmental, civil, or chemical engineering), or a related subject. (required) Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
  • Professional registration. (i.e., P.G. or P.E.) (required)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 7 years (8+ years preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
  • Proven leadership skills. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations. (preferred)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
