Job Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry is excited to announce an opening on our expanding team of psychiatrists in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division. In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to provide psychiatric care to a variety of pediatric patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as some adult outpatient coverage.

Additionally, you will have the chance to take part in the educational objectives of The University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health by supervising and building a mentor/mentee relationship with a variety of learners, including residents and fellows.

Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric care for a variety of pediatric and/or adult patients (90%):
-Provide care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
-Service on appropriate department and medical school committees.
-Participate in other department teaching activities.
-Share in call schedules.

Provide supervision, mentorship, and teaching (10%):
-Supervise, mentor, and teach psychiatric residents, psychology interns and medical students.

Terminal Degree
-MD or DO is required.


Qualifications:

-Successful completion of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship.

-Board Certification in Adult or Child Psychiatry (or Board Eligible with a firm plan to complete
certification requirements).

-For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.


License/Certification:

Required
MD - Physician - State Licensure
MD or DO Wisconsin Medical License obtained by start date.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
