The Supply Chain Informatics Specialist - Works with the Manager of SC Informatics in facilitating the integration of Information Systems into the supply chain setting in such a way as to support supply chain workflows and improve the quality of customer service and end-user experience. SCIS provides guidance and leadership to the supply chain analytics and informatics teams to support supply chain staff in decision-making, design, education and implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and related applications and workflows throughout NLH. The primary role of the SCIS is to provide master data management support within the ERP application. This individual is expected to exercise direction and judgment with minimal supervision while leading a team that conducts education and/or supports our customers and our SCIS colleagues through project implementation. It is essential this position understand, technically, how systems interrelate with other departmental systems, applications and workflows. - Demonstrates and understanding of NLH information systems applications
- Leads work teams (in conjunction with other SC SME's) to develop and design curriculum and educational strategy for integrating supply chain and clinical applications
- Assists team in facilitating and teaching the Infor application for NLH
- Uses remote meeting technology to provide education to local and remote learners. Rounds at NLH member organizations to observe, analyze and support adoption of ideal workflows
- Takes what they learn at each member and applies their knowledge of the Infor application to assist in creating more efficient workflows
- Leads teams and work groups to document and evaluate supply chain workflows
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of new documentation, ERP tools and or applications that integrate with existing new business workflows
- Leads action teams to effectively review and evaluate requests, keeping in mind organizational standards as well as downstream effects
- Exercises due diligence when making recommendations
- Develops competency-based educational activities using adult learning principles
- Maintains database of completed education, onboarding, at the elbow adoption interactions and competencies
- Assists in policy development as well as procedures required to implement and maintain business applications
- Reviews testing scripts and validates to ensure supply chain relevancy
- Participates and leads end user validation activities related to supply chain
- Displays a willingness to make decisions or seeks direction from Supply Chain leadership
- Makes sure appropriate stake holders are included in decision making when necessary

- Works various schedules to support new end users, technologies, workflows and end users
- Lead various Supply Chain process improvement and systems implementation projects comprised of large multifunctional teams, introduce best practice in Supply Chain technology, recognize gaps in process and/or current capabilities, and work with Supply Chain leadership and others to structure effective solutions
- Create strategies as well as tactical planning around the implementation of process and technology changes
- Ensure data integrity, test system changes, write reports, and analyze data flow for process improvement opportunities
- Provide support and analytic services for NLH Supply Chain to include tracking of supply utilization and related expenditures
- Assists in creation of reports designed to monitor effectiveness of medical devices and supplies on patient outcomes, with a focus on evidence-based practice
- Create reports and initiative summaries in support of Supply Chain services to support vendor and product selection process
- Perform special projects and ad hoc analyses in support of the Supply Chain group. Identify potential issues independently
- Work closely with NLH Contracting & Sourcing, Value Analysis, and Procurement and Logistics to align priorities
- Support and leverage third party data platforms and verify data sent to third parties is accurate, making appropriate changes as needed
- Obtains and analyzes information related to products, specifications, availability, contractual arrangements, service requirements and warranty coverage. Understands product use within the continuum of care (acute, long-term care, home health)
- Works with Group Purchasing Organization data to assure NLH achieves accurate savings opportunities
- Prepares financial savings opportunity reports for Value Analysis. Assists with product evaluations and conversions with a focus on integrating utilization-based strategies
- Calculates rebate distribution to member hospitals and Supply Chain leadership
- Development, monitoring and reporting of KPI's
- Enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs; reading current literature; attending in-service training and workshops; attending meetings as required and participating on committees as directed
- Assists with Utilities management - net energy credits, water & sewer invoices processed internally using INFOR Contracts. Responsible for making sure accounts are updated as needed, providing reports when requested and ensuring that invoices are processed thru the correct channels
- Work in conjunction with Contracting on Service Agreements. Helping to ensure content is correct, especially locations, assist with coding for each location. At times responsible for creating, maintaining and acting as buyer on various facility related contracts

- 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to travel to NLH locations throughout the system - Bangor, ME
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Informatics (or equivalent health care informatics)
- 1+ years of experience maintaining a Supply Chain ERP system
- Knowledge of Patient Safety and Regulatory Standards, Healthcare Policy, and Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience in Infor Cloud Suite ERP
- Proven solid data mining, extrapolation, and mathematical skills
